Requests take a bounded local path. Tail behavior stays visible. Unhealthy capacity is isolated and traffic keeps moving.
Work stays with the shard that owns the request.

Capacity is judged against a latency envelope, not throughput alone.
Latency is part of the capacity decision
Health state removes an unhealthy upstream from new traffic.

V1.0.4 POST-RELEASE REPLAY
At 600,000 offered RPS with bounded header transformations, BonVoyage met the p99 tail gate in all three repetitions. NGINX met it in one of three. NGINX consumed less measured application CPU, but that value did not translate into tail-gate compliance in two runs. BonVoyage used less RSS and fewer descriptors.

KUBERNETES LIFECYCLE / PUBLIC MAIN / NOV 5, 2026
From a clean anonymous clone of the exact public source, BonVoyage completed installation, a zero-unavailable configuration upgrade, rejected-candidate containment, exact rollback, and teardown in a disposable Kubernetes environment.
A malformed configuration candidate was rejected while both healthy replicas and service traffic remained available. The deployment then returned to the exact baseline revision and the disposable environment was removed.
Inspect the lifecycle and its limitsBoundary: Source-built lifecycle evidence on disposable kind with Ubuntu 24.04 AMD64. It is not a tagged-artifact installation result, benchmark, capacity result, multi-node availability claim, or release-admission record.
ENGINEERING EVIDENCE / PUBLIC RELEASE MATERIAL
A gateway is more than a binary. Version 1.0.4 publishes evidence of what ships, how it was tested, and where its qualification boundaries remain.
Dependency and license inventories tied to the release artifact.
Dated findings, reviewed affectedness and available remediation.
Malformed-input testing, sanitizers and regression coverage.
Memory and resource trends during sustained, defined workloads.
Failure behavior, recovery and tested rollback paths.
Artifact identities and verification material that connect the records.
Published records identify the exact artifact, test scope, outcome and known limits. Evidence supports confidence, not a bug-free or compliance guarantee.
FREE TO RUN / OPTIONAL ASSURANCE
Version 1.0.4 includes the full open-source gateway dataplane, without artificial throughput caps. Configure it through YAML, CLI, or the optional no-cost proprietary Console, with no registration or subscription. Supported programmatic management and its API documentation are Enterprise scope.
No subscription is required to run the OSS gateway. Release Assurance is the focused next step for maintained releases, eligible remediation, release evidence and direct notices. No Enterprise bundle is required for Release Assurance.
